Stump Grinding Solutions

CALL BEFORE YOU DIG, IT’S THE LAW!!

Red Oak Tree Service offers a wide variety of stump grinding solutions. One thing to take into consideration, is grinding of tree stumps is “considered” an excavation practice. It is state law that we call before any excavation occurs to have all public utilities marked. While it is rare to have utilities under a tree stump it is very possible and we have seen it through the years in the field. The call to locate utilities is fast, free, and ensures safety for our client and the operator.

During any stump grinding it is critical that the entire core and ingrown roots of the stump are grinded appropriately if not you can expect sinkholes and extreme settling of ground in that area. Depending on the situation Red Oak offers to tiers of stump grinding solutions. See below:

T1 STUMP CUTTER PACKAGE: The T1 package is our more cost-effective approach to get rid of a stump after the removal is complete. Once utilities have been marked Red Oak will follow up to grind the entire stump, core, and ingrown roots. Once the grinding is complete all processed material will be left at the site in a mound formation to decompose over time, Or the client can remove at their leisure.

T2 STUMP CUTTER PACKAGE: The T2 package is a more costly approach to get rid of a stump after the removal is complete, but the mess is gone, and we establish a new lawn base! Once utilities have been marked Red Oak will follow up to grind the entire stump, core, and ingrown roots. Once the grinding complete all processed material is excavated, hauled away, and we replenish the excavated site with topsoil. Following topsoil installation Red Oak will compact the soil to prevent future settling, then grass seed installed followed be erosion control fabric. After this work is completed with a little bit of water a new lawn base will be established!
